Reseña: In February of 1993 Saramago established a second residence in Lanzarote. Maria and Javier his in-laws and residents of Lanzarote and Luis and Juanjo friends and new arrivals gifted Saramago with a notebook to register their days in the CanMaries. One stipulation was given: they were occasionally to be mentioned. Even though Saramago never wrote on that notebook it was in this manner that the Cuadernos de Lanzarote were born. Today Saramago finds himself in a similar situation. This time however the driving forces are Pilar Sergio and Javier and a blog space reserved for the author s comments reflections and opinions.
