Product Overview
"The motivation behind these *Dialogues* was to ascertain my current thinking—after half a century since the publication of my *Theory of Crime*, four decades since the *Treatise*, more than thirty years since *In Search of Lost Punishments*, and a quarter-century since the last *Treatise*. Thus, a set of notes took shape—notes which I subsequently had the notion to organize, polish, and supplement with a few bibliographic references in the footnotes. These dialogues—at times resembling interrogations, though without any Platonic pretensions—allowed me to explain, in a language less structured than that of traditional academic discourse, some of the central issues that I believe would enable the reconstruction of criminal law dogmatics for our Latin America." -- Publisher (translated).
