A very systematic analysis is presented, "High incomes and redistribution in France in the 20th century," based "on an almost unique source, namely the analysis of income statements of the creation of a general tax of an income in France, according to the law of July 15, 1914," that the result of this work is the demonstration that the abysmal difference between one income and another and that, in addition, are to be considered within the same category ("high"), added to the war, the inaccurate and changing definition of "family" and the salarization of labor, is one of the main elements that make economic inequality possible at a national level.
