About the Author Ann-Christine Wohrl was born in Germany in 1975, she discovered her love for photography at a very early age. She studied at the MI 21 Photography School and at the Parsons School of Design, Paris. She worked for the agency Magnum, in Paris, and with the photojournalists Reza and David Turnley. Today she works on projects and interviews of social and cultural interest, especially in Latin America, India and the Balkan countries. Her works have appeared in diverse publications. The books Habanos mi amor and Las mujeres de La Habana show her studies on the relationship between women and tobacco in Cuba. Rodolfo Fattoruso: Literary critic and essay writer, he is the author of history and cultural criticism books. In Uruguay, he directed the Instituto Nacional del Libro (National Book Institute) and was cultural advisor of the National Government. He teaches at the Centro de Altos Estudios Nacionales (Centre of National High Studies) and the Instituto Militar de Estudios Superiores (Military Institute of Superior Studies), and directs a workshop where he teaches literary techniques, philosophy and classical literature.
