Investigates the life and person of Queen Elizabeth I, the causes of the English reformation and the overthrow and execution of Charles I and James II. Looks at life under Cromwell, and later the United Kingdom. Section B deals with the French revolution, its causes and consequent changes covering the Napoleonic period.
