Product Overview
At the age of fifty, the narrator of this story is reunited with a woman he had loved since his youth, who until then had remained "a platonic love, at a distance, an impossible love." Suddenly, as in fairy tales, everything rushes down and what was previously an undertaking superior to the forces of the protagonist - a consummate expert in postponing his wishes - becomes easy, almost automatic. However, the separation has been long and the past lurks. In his case there is a history of crime and a complicated relationship. In hers, a lifetime of sacrifice and two unfortunate marriages. But, as the narrator claims, who said it would be easy?
